The African Violet Growers Group (AVGG) is a friendly, Adelaide-based community of people who share a love of African violets. Whether you’re just starting out or have been growing for years, you’ll find support, knowledge and encouragement right here.
We are a small but passionate group who meet monthly to share plants, growing tips and practical advice. Our focus is on helping each other succeed and enjoy these beautiful plants. We are always happy to welcome new members, and no prior experience is needed.
What we offer
Members of AVGG enjoy access to shared knowledge, practical growing advice, quality supplies, and a supportive community of like-minded enthusiasts. We also provide access to specialised African Violet pots, custom potting mix and other supplies that are not available in retail stores.
Meetings
ON-SITE - We meeting monthly in Adelaide in a relaxed and friendly setting. Meeting include informal disucssions, plant sales and opportunities to learn more about growing and caring for African Violets
ONLINE - We also hold bi-monthly online evening chats, making it easier for members to connect no matter where they live.

AVGG offers a range of specilised supplies to support successful African Violet growing.
What we offer:
We provide access to quality African Violet pots, specially formulated potting mix, and other prowing supplies that are not typically available in retail outlets. From time to time, member may also offer plants for sale, including named varieties and more unusual or hard-to-find types.
How to purchase:
Most items, are available for purchase at our monthly meetings. If you are unable to attend in person, you are welcome to contact us to enquire about availability. Our aim is to make it easier for growers to access the right supplies and enjoy success with their plants.

We are always happy to welcome new members to the African Violet Growers Group.
Membership:
Annual membership is $20. This helps cover the cost of meeting spaces, insurance and other running expenses. As a member, you will gain access to shared knowledge, support forum experienced growers, quality plants and supplies, and a friendly community pf people who share your interest.
Who can join:
Anyone with an interest in African Violets and Gesneriads are welcome to join. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced grower, you will find a place in our group.
